A leadership group of attorneys and advocates who are dedicated to protecting the rights of homeowners in foreclosure and who are committed to preserving (or restoring) respect for courts, judges and the rule of law have met and are planning a rally in Tallahassee, Florida.
The Florida Legislature is in session and they are currently considering several pieces of legislation that would dramatically eliminate or curtail the rights of consumers who face foreclosure.
A leadership group of attorneys and advocates who are dedicated to protecting the fundamental rights of homeowners will be traveling to Tallahassee to meet with elected officials to ensure that consumer’s rights are not trampled on.
The date tentatively scheduled is April 21, 2010. Stay tuned for further updates and formal confirmation of this important event and please help to get the word out when the date is formalized.

p.s Did you see the “revised HB 1523”? I predict Flroida is next in line (#38) to be another non-judicial state……..
see here: https://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=_h1523c2.docx&DocumentType=Bill&BillNumber=1523&Session=2010
I’d still like to know why the Florida Bar is sleeping through this. Where is the lobbying effort from the Bar? What do we pay dues for?
If the bill passes, not only are the homeowners going to lose but, the defense attorneys as well. No suits, no need for lawyers….
I will be there with several Homeowners to support the Attorneys. Please keep me informed .
Thank you Mr. Weidner.
