If any private attorney agreed to such a settlement they’d be exposed to malpractice/conflict of interest lawsuits with plaintiffs lined up for blocks.
Where are the depositions, requests for documents please?
Just seems to me that the job of an AG, as the chief law officer of the state, is to ensure that the laws of the state are uniformly and adequately enforced. That doesn’t appear to be what’s going on here. Looks like state sanctioned financial apartheid to me.
Over the past few weeks I have reached out to hundreds of attorneys throughout the country and have found little over a dozen willing to entertain the idea of filing suit against this settlement. I am not able to explain why.
