Florida’s public records law fulfills a vital public interest….making sure elected “leaders” are held accountable. It is a crime for public officials to destroy public records, and it is an impeachable offense if it is done knowingly. Well, today’s news is that Rick Scott has deleted emails once again….a violation of Florida’s Sunshine laws.
The flagrant disregard of one of Florida’s most important public interest laws should provoke OUTRAGE! and FURY! but people are just way to complacent.
The news won’t report (near enough) and the people certainly will not devote the kind of attention needed in order to get any real attention to the issue. Just keep watching as the empire burns.
