Remember AIG? The people whose reckless business practices helped create the financial crisis that landed us smack in the middle of this awful global recession? The people who we, the taxpayers, had to bail out to the tune of $182 billion dollars to avert a complete collapse of the global financial system? The people who wouldn’t have two pennies to rub together, let alone billions of profits and a 50% increase in stock price over the past 12 months, were it not for your tax dollars and mine?
AIG is now actually considering suing the federal government over the bailout that the American taxpayer was forced to fund in order to rescue them from the financial catastrophe that they caused. “Outrageous” doesn’t even begin to cover it.
