I do. I feel like someone’s watching every move I make. And reading every single email and text and tracking every keystroke on every computer and listening in to every single phone conversation.
They have a diagnosis for my condition….Paranoid Delusions….except for me…and for many of you, the term doesn’t work because they actually are watching, reading, listening. I may be paranoid, but this is no delusion.
I really encourage everyone to watch the PBS-Frontline program, Top Secret America. This ain’t nutjob internet wacko stuff here folks, this is hard core journalism….some of the best that’s still produced in this country. We really don’t do journalism in this country anymore…if it won’t fit in a 60 second story, it’s ignored.
But every single American needs to understand exactly what happened after 9/11 when, “The Gloves Came Off”. They took the gloves off so they could write checks at break neck speed. And ever since then, our country has been spending trillions and trillions of dollars in ways and on things that are entirely undisclosed to Americans….and even from members of Congress. We have no idea exactly how much is being spent because it’s not disclosed to Americans….or members of Congress for that matter. What we do know is that our government has spent untold trillions.
Well, now that we’ve bombed two countries into rubble and we’ve got no active war…where exactly will we direct all these resources and effort? I know, let’s turn all this effort inward, let’s look right here in the United States of America. That’s where we get to the FUSION CENTERS!
No, Fusion Centers are not hip meeting halls on progressive church campuses, these are gigantic black holes that suck in every single bit and byte and every single keystroke of data that is written or kept or sent…anywhere in the world. Here’s what the Department of Homeland Security says about the Fusion Centers:
State and major urban area fusion centers (fusion centers) serve as primary focal points within the state and local environment for the receipt, analysis, gathering, and sharing of threat-related information among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) partners. Located in states and major urban areas throughout the country, fusion centers are uniquely situated to empower front-line law enforcement, public safety, fire service, emergency response, public health, CIKR protection.

Collecting data is one thing, but the bricks and mortar and the real dollars that are being spent are truly unprecedented. Americans are starving. Americans are dying and wasting away in hospitals and in gutters from one coast to another. We’re told that we cannot afford to feed children or provide health care to the lame and diseased, but what about the bah-trillions of dollars that are being spent to chase shadows….like chasing the Weapons of Mass Destruction that we know were not found in Iraq. Remember, we were all told bald-faced and HUGE lies. The lies were repeated again and again and again. On television news, in international forums, in front of Congress. But they were lies, all lies.
And those lies were the information primarily relied upon to justify invading Iraq. Now here we are 10 years later….we’ve bombed the country into ruin. We’ve killed hundreds of thousands of men, women and children. And for what? What have we accomplished? Now we’ve just packed up all our toys and walked away. I wonder how that feels to any of the tens of thousands of soldiers who have returned home from Iraq with either physical or mental wounds from war?
But now, once this War Machine has been built and staffed and unleashed on the world, can it ever be turned off? Once all the private contractors and interested parties are fully vested into this new Top Secret America, will they ever allow it to be turned down or backed off or diverted? Or will they hire teams of lobbyists and pay campaign contributions and do all that is required to build and expand Top Secret America?
Apparently, Candidate Obama was an entirely different person than President Obama. Top Secret America has only grown. And are we more safe now than we were back then? Is our nation safer? Are we more stable? Do “they” hate us more for our “freedoms”? Or have we made just a few more enemies because we’ve carpet bombed two countries and killed hundreds of thousands of men, women, children and babies?
