As most of you know, myself and many dedicated consumer rights defenders spent the last several years going up to Tallahassee to try and be positive forces in their attacks against consumers and our state’s court system.

We spent the last legislative session pleading desperately for elected leaders to listen to us about the ill conceived and horribly executed new foreclosure bill.

But most failed to listen entirely.

The Republicans in particular just flat out refused to listen to us at all.

And the bill they drafted was and is a mess.

But their bill passed.  But because they failed to listen to the people that actually knew some things about how courts operate, the bill they passed is a real mess.

And even those of us that fought so hard didn’t appreciate what a mess this thing really is…

So far, expedited foreclosure law stuck in slow lane!
