Mr. Weidner – An excellent, accurate and even-handed review of the very large issues consumer’s and legislators should consider regarding the recent HB213 and senate version of proposed changes to real property law in the State of Florida. The cry to “speed up the process” will only result in an increased cost to taxpayers and a massive additional flood of discounted properties on the market to further depress pricing. Meanwhile, the processes to deal with our current quagmire are already in place. Have been for eons. Money sellers are simply trying to legislate away the problems and liability they’ve created. I pray our legislators consider what is truely best, longterm, for their constituents in the State of Florida, and not their major political constributors or their next job salary, in casting their votes.
