With the Coronavirus reaching its tentacles into the St Pete community, Modern Business Associates, the St Petersburg Chamber and the Greater St. Petersburg Area EDC have given rise to the #CarryOutStPete movement.

Coronavirus: Coming Together For the St Pete Economy

The #CarryOutStPete movement is a means of supporting the local St Pete economy as local businesses feel the wrath of COVID-19. Created by Modern Business Associates, the St Petersburg Chamber and the Greater St. Petersburg Area EDC, #CarryOutStPete asks St Pete residents to commit to place bulk carryout orders (for home and office) from local restaurants on March 27th. The movement is a means of providing stimulus for our local restaurants as they endure the financial impact of COVID-19 on their business.

So far, St. Pete business owners have committed to purchasing 500 meals for their remote and on-site employees. This hasn’t just contributed to the local economy and helped local business owners, but it’s also boosted the spirits of restaurant employees and staff who are feeling the impact of COVID-19 on their morale and their pocketbooks.

You can join the #CarryOutStPete movement whether you’re a local employer, a resident, or a vacationer in the area. All you have to do is join the effort on Friday, March 27th by placing your bulk carryout order at one of the local restaurants taking part in #CarryOutStPete! You can find a full list of local restaurants and carryout menus at the St  Pete website.
