A little off-topic post from a friend….
Commander K came by yesterday afternoon. What a lively conversation we had.
” We’re downwinders, you know.” I told him.
A quick look of serious concern flashed across his face. You see, Commander K is an ex submariner. While never having his own boat, he is/was qualified for command of his own nuclear powered fast attack. E has reason to know. Quiet warfare is his forte. Don’t play him in chess.
” It’s not as serious as everyone says,” he says, ” to give you perspective, yes, it’s radioactive steam but it is more like a paint bomb spray, it’s a fine mist and is quickly dispersed.” I’d like to believe that, but this is a MOX fuel plant and that changes the perspective, even for one as knowledgeable as Commander K. I let it go. Why feed hysteria?
” Tell me about your trip?” he asked me. I am fine changing the subject.
” It was wonderful. Truly a band of brothers if there ever were. It is as if it were you, Mr. Geeai and I were to work together. It was work, long conversations into the night, lots of laughter and even some tears.”
Commander K beamed. ” And what was the upshot?”
” That I’m supposed to piss you off.”
He roared with laughter. ” That shouldn’t be too hard~!” he said as he wiped the tears from his face.
” Seriously.”
Here’s what he doesn’t know. It doesn’t take too long living in this ” Alice in Wonderland” world of modern finance before you come to realize that what you are really battling is a database run amuck and the only way to effectively battle it is to have your own database.

It is centered around the data mining skills of Poppa Koppa, that kind gentleman who brought the world Micro-Fiche and knows a thing or two not only about databases, but more importantly, the ways to search them. Around those skills are two other databases, one for homeowners, the other for the professionals who are working to stop this foreclosure madness.
The basic concept we seek to create is where a distressed or concerned homeowner anywhere in the nation can walk into an attorney’s office, literally place a three ring binder on his desk with the details of his case, the attorney can flip through it and think to himself, “˜cool, 2/3 ““ 3-/4 of my work is done’ because he is part of a network of attorneys connected through a central clearing house of information and services and knows what to do with the file all. Actionable intelligence at a fair price and a professional who knows what to do with it.
