THE COURT: Let me ask you a logical question, ma’am. How long have you been living in your house without making a mortgage payment?

MS. PARADA: October of ’08.

THE COURT: Pretty nice, isn’t it? Be rent-free for two years?

THE WITNESS: I don’t think that’s the point.

THE COURT: Oh, it’s not?

MS. PARADA: No, sir.

THE COURT: Okay. I’m missing something here?

MS. PARADA: Well, I’ve been studying the securitization of what the banks are doing.

THE COURT: Ma’am, you may find some loopholes, but the fact of the matter is you took out a mortgage and a note and you agreed to pay money and you didn’t do it. Now you’re trying to say, well, this note is this and this note is that so, I mean, come on. You can put as much Chanel No. 5 on this as you want but the fact of the matter is that you’ve been living rent-free for two years.
