litigation, quiet title, contract disputes, injunctions, appealsIf you get a phone call from a “friendly” voice calling you from the “Breast Cancer Research & Support Fund”, I urge you to take a real hard look at the organization before you decide to drop down one penny as part of their efforts to wring money away from you.  When you take even a glancing look at this organization, I’m certain you’ll be wondering just how long it will be before state and federal authorities step up and take some real enforcement action to protect consumers nationwide.  Before we get into the details, if you are a consumer who feels like any company or any individual is engaged in violation of consumer protection laws, contact the Florida Attorney General’s Office Here.

Now, let’s get to the heart of my complaints against these groups…

First, take a look at their website  and in particular, take a look at the IRS 990 Tax Returns that are posted on their own site.  Isn’t it most incredible that the umbrella group, Community Charity Advancement Inc. posts contributions totaling $10,616,737 for 2014?  That’s an incredible amount of money to have take from contributors.

And even more interesting that they claim to have “Facilitated the delivery of medicines and medical supplies in the Dominican Republic In Order to Help Victims of Breast Cancer and Related Illnesses in Various Hospitals and Medical Centers”

Just look at the number they claim as Expenses for this part of the effort $5,862,613  that would sure buy a whole lot of “facilitating” in the USA…much less on a small Caribbean Island.  Take a look at page three of that report where it lists the recipient of $3,393,488 in non cash assistance to “Dominican Republic Instituto on Calle Benigno F. Rojas No. 31 in Santo Domingo , Calle Benigno”that too is a huge number.

Here is one of the returns, see the website for all the other ones: cca-2014,-990

And how about the “Another Hand Foundation”, located at 6300 W National Ave, West Allis WI 53214. For which the returns assert that $129,039 has been provided in “non cash  assistance” of blankets, clothing to “fire fight”.  That too is a large number.

Take a look at the detailed allegations in each complaint,  and then scroll to the docket below for each of these cases below:
