I was doing a little digging on the obscenely unfair and outright ugly draft of legislation titled the Florida Fair Foreclosure Act. The title just makes me so furious, but it doesn’t end there.
No official confirmation on what legislator is hitching their saddle up to this anti-consumer, anti-Rule of Law legislation, but the smoke signals suggest it comes from Florida House member, Kathleen Passidomo. Now the most interesting thing that I want to find out who actually drafted it? Who sat in front of a computer and put those words to paper…words that strip away basic rights, words that are a mockery of our system of justice and the Rule of Law.
Remember that old saturday morning cartoon that showed how a bill becomes a law? Well, that ain’t exactly the whole picture. The real story begins much before “Bill” makes it to the steps of the Capitol…the real backroom dealing occurs when the bill is conceived and drafted…and this bill has the fingerprints of the title industry, the foreclosure mills and the banksters all over it. Why? Because the bill strips away consumer rights, and gives the title industry a complete Get Out Of Jail Free card.
No stranger to controversy, after comments like the one below, she even has a Facebook page dedicated to her. and here is her Florida House Page
There was an article about an 11 year old girl who was gangraped in Texas by 18 young men because she was dressed up like a 21-year-old prostitute. And her parents let her attend school like that. And I think it’s incumbent upon us to create some areas where students can be safe in school and show up in proper attire so what happened in Texas doesn’t happen to our students.
11 Year Old Gang Raped Because She Looks Like a Prostitute
Is THIS bill cited as “Florida Fair Foreclosure Act” (https://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Bills/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=46279 ) which she previously co-sponsored and which is said to have “Died in Civil Justice Subcommittee on Saturday, May 07, 2011 2:07 AM” the same bill to which you attribute her authorship?
Is she attempting to “resurrect” the same dead bill?
This woman is a slave to the Banksters. Like all attorneys in private practice who sit as members of the legislature they are in violation of the separation of powers. By virtue of the integration of the Florida Bar into the Supreme Court of Florida they are both members of the legislature and the judicial branch of government. They are in further violation by virtue of their enjoying offices of profit within the judicial branch. This public enemy from Collier County is nothing more than a tool for fraud and deception.
I will definitely be signing up to speak at any AND all subcommittee and committee meetings.
I will be meeting with groups of legislators.
The banks are waiting to refile when the law suits them.
IF not US, then who?
IF not now, then when?
2012 bill doesn’t seem to be numbered yet. It should move through the same committees. There will be time to file a notice to appear and stop this asap!@
