My last post about this foreclosure case described a couple who paid and allegedly lost $458,000 to buy a condominium at foreclosure sale due to fraud in representations to the court. That couple sought to legally unwind what happened and recover their money. The court agreed to hear their arguments.
The most important thing to understand about all this is just how vital a role lawyers play in making sure judges are fully aware of all the facts before the judge before they make a decision. The general public doesn’t understand the full depth of court procedures, but the most important rule for anyone that appears before a court is to make sure you help a judge to understand the full facts of every case. When that doesn’t happen, you get what occurred in this case.
