My Gawd, won’t anybody stop the madness of screaming that it’s good public policy to push foreclosures along more quickly?
The Florida Legislature is completely out of touch with reality and the facts provided by the Florida Court System itself. Nearly as many foreclosure cases were dismissed in 2012 as Final Judgments were entered in 2012, 62,234 cases dismissed while 83,324 final judgments entered.
This of course is staggering….especially in light of the foreclosure law that will be making its way to Governor Scott…..this bill has a demand that defendants pay to plaintiffs as a condition of exercising their due process rights…..but what happens in all those cases that are dismissed? The legislation is silent. So do the Plaintiffs just get to keep all this money?
