Of course they are trying to bring it back!!
I did a random search of assignments and found hundreds of US Bank fraudulent assignments in Brevard County, FL. (I chose US Bank because BOA had too many records returned.)
The docs were prepared by a firm in your neck of the woods – St. Pete. Hundreds of the same assignments prepared by this firm were notarized by Kentucky notaries claiming to be authorized to take acknowledgments in Florida.
Here is just one example:

What you see is in the assignment is a Kentucky notary stating that she is an officer duly authorized in the county of Pinellas and state of Florida to take acknowledgments.
I researched three of the most prolific Kentucky notaries for these assignments to see if they were also notaries in Florida. The answer – NOPE!.
