Well, that certainly didn’t take long did it? Most people’s hangovers haven’t even started yet and it’s been announced that another 14 banks have reached a settlement with their government lapdog investigators. Remember the Federal Reserve Board/Office of Comptroller and Currency investigation into the CRIMES that the banks committed….AND CONTINUE TO COMMIT?
Well, while everyone was out getting all hopped up for New Years or wrapping Christmas presents….THE CRIMINALS AND GOVERNMENT were MEETING IN SECRET….that’s right….THEY WERE MEETING IN SECRET…to hammer out the terms of a settlement of the charges and investigations that they faced.
So what precipitated these secret meetings? Did the investigators and government give up because they were not finding anything? Did the “independent” investigators, bought and paid for by the criminals themselves not find enough evidence of their crimes?
NO…..QUITE THE CONTRARY…..in fact, the investigations are being scrapped not because they found nothing…..
THE INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE BANKS HAVE BEEN SCRAPPED BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO TIME CONSUMING….AND PRESUMABLY REVEALED TOO MUCH BAD CONDUCT!
Now, the press is going to report that this was a “historic settlement”…and they will report over and over and over again the “fact” that the settlement is $10 Billion….but no one will report that this number, like the $25 Billion AG settlement is all just fantasy, delusion, lies, propaganda…all designed to distract the American consumer from the unavoidable reality:

Read the account that appears in the New York Times and ask….how did they get away with this?
