Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday said she was asking for an inspector general from outside her agency to look into the firing of two assistant attorneys general who had been heavily involved in going after fraud in foreclosure cases. “I am not second guessing, at all, the decision by my top staff by what they did,” Bondi said about the firings. “But I do want recommendations as to what we can do to make it better. I’m asking for an outside (inspector general) to look at it and I welcome that.
