Today is Bill of Rights Day…in Honor, Congress Passes A Bill That Destroys All Rights….

Talk about ugly, terrifying irony.   Someone long ago thought it would be good to celebrate the fact that Americans were granted certain rights.   But the corporations and our utterly corrupt government have taken all those rights away.   Now we have not a Bill of Rights, but the banks and their Right to Bill us for anything and everything and get away with whatever crimes they care to.

No one cares. Not nearly enough people are taking the time to stand up. And so we get this:

WASHINGTON — The Senate passed a Thursday that authorizes indefinite detentions of American terrorism suspects, coincidentally acting on the controversial measure on the 220th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights.

The bill, the , passed 86 to 13 and is expected to be signed quickly by President Obama, who withdrew a veto threat against the bill Wednesday. Six Democrats, six Republicans and one independent opposed the bill.

Though the legislation passed overwhelmingly, several senators argued that it was threatening fundamental provisions of the Bill of Rights, which is celebrated every Dec. 15.

“We as Americans have a right to a speedy trial, not indefinite detention,” said Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.). “We as Americans have a right to a jury of our peers, which I would argue is … not enlisted or military personnel sitting in a jury. You cannot search our businesses or place of business or our homes without probable cause under the Bill of Rights.”

Not sure if this is exact, but I read –
“A statute attempting, by imposing conditions upon a general privelege, to exact a waiver of a constitutional right, is null and void.” Harrison vs St Louis & San Francisco RR Co., 232 US 318, Terral vs Burke Construction Company, 257 US 529

Any law repugnant ot the Constitution is null and void.

These congressmen who voted for this bill are attempting to kill the constitution and they should be held for treason! We can’t LET them pass these laws. What rights do they have to pass these laws?

Attorney’s should be filing criminal charges immediately! We must MAKE them adhere to the constitutional restrictions the document states. Our Declaration of Independence gives us the right to throw off tyranny and rulers that assume they can do these crazy acts. 545 people cannot be allowed to oppress 310 million! The military works for us. We need to Order them to round up the treasonous officials that are attempting to destroy this country.
