I told another client today,
If you can leave this country, do so now. As soon as you can.
This county is a terrifying place. Take that from a lawyer who sees, every day, the end product of the judicial system…the last bastion of protection against tyranny, failing us all.
It doesn’t matter that it’s only foreclosure defendants that are being destroyed. Something far more important has been lost.
The concept of justice and the Rule of Law have been destroyed and decimated.
And soon very ugly things will begin to happen all around us.
I agree with everything but the use of the word “decimated” , it doesn’t mean what you think … in ancient times if an army came up against a far stronger force the weaker army’s leader was often given the choice of decimation ,,, every tenth (decimal point .. get it) soldier would be sacrificed and the 90% would be free to go (minus their weapons) …
It sounds like you need to get in to a new area of law. How do you expect to get new clients when all of your posts are so fatalistic and negative??? There are other attorneys actually winning trials in Florida!!!
John…thank you for your email. I appreciate your feedback. The bottom line is I am unflailingly honest about what is happening. I don’t just crow about my victories, I share the very real losses. Having said that, I’ve won far more than I lose….I want to share brutal honesty with clients and the public so they have an honest assessment. The best way to have success in court is to prepare for loss…brutal loss….and fight like hell. I stand by my assessment…and more importantly, I stand proudly by my firm’s record of wins before the courts!
I do appreciate your honesty. However I would rather hear about your wins so I can still have hope. Share how you have won some of your cases so I can share with my attorney. Attorneys need to stick together with how they are winning so as to help more Floridians.
