    America, Happy New Year 2011!
Hope you are cozy and warm in your homes after the excitement and the celebration welcoming the New Year. Now that today is the first day of the continuation of the saga of home ownership in America, I thought of you and wanted to share this amazing and compelling US Senate Hearing that took place two weeks ago.
Since it is a bit long, please watch it as I did, when you have time. But something so interesting, I have time when I make time. I hope it is the same to you. However, if it is too long for you, the hearing is broken to pieces where everyone who participated has a time allowed on the left side of this site for you to go directly to the segment.
I found the whole hearing very important from the beginning to the end. I really enjoyed watching it and learned quite a lot from the panel’s testimonies.
Since America is becoming the land of those who have and those who have not, it will be very interested to see for those who have a home today, for how long will they be able to hold on to them. If you own your home or think you own your home, this hearing is a wake up call and awareness of what is happening in America today and why it is everyone’s problem. If you heritage, refinanced, or bought a home between 1997 and 2007, chances are that your mortgage went through the process of Securitization. This simply means your loan was sold to a private investor and the assignment of the note supposed to be transfer to the Trustee. If this is your case, I suggest that you go to the county records and find out who has custody or the chain of title of your home.
This is where the whole game begins from origination to the transfer of the note to the trustee. If you want to learn more, you better watch this hearing. Specially the testimony of Mrs. Hines. It is very touching and will move you.
If you are in California and you are losing your home in foreclosure, you may want to register with Matt Weidner’s blog to receive daily updates of what is going on in this country. If you don’t get educated and don’t get inform, or get involve, who is going to fight for your home? If you are waiting for the Federal Government do something, might as well go to sleep and wake up when the whole thing is over. If you don’t know your rights, guess how many rights do you have? That’s right! You don’t have any.
If you would like to make a difference and find the solution of the problem, please do your due diligence and find out which organizations are fighting for the homeowner and be part of these organizations. Good luck and God Bless You and God Bless us All. God Bless America!
