The foreclosure “reform” bill is a real mess. A mess for courts, a mess for homeowner’s associations, a mess for Floridians in general.
I have been relatively quiet on the matter, as have many other attorneys….choosing to work quietly to try and protect homeowners and our court system behind the scenes. We accomplished much of what we wanted…given the realities of the political environment.
There are good elements to the legislation….it’s certainly not all bad…..and the bad parts of it are already being drafted into the appeal that we will file in the months to come.
The fight for foreclosure justice is not at all lost….quite the contrary….we had a good fight…and the fight very much continues….
